Fundraising is well underway for Castle Douglas’ new Inclusive Playpark.
CDDF is busy fundraising for Castle Douglas’ new Inclusive Play Park alongside the local fundraising group. who have been busy organising and hosting a variety of successful events such as a Family Bingo Night, Christmas Funfair and Curry & Quiz Night to help with community engagement projects and raising further funds.
CDDF has also worked with the young people at Better Lives Partnership, a local charity that supports young people with Autism and additional barriers in Dumfries and Galloway, to create a series of fundraising cards. These are available to buy in Castle Douglas Town Shop and Heart of Galloway Visitor Centre.
The first phase of the Inclusive Playpark is expected to cost around £330,000, with the community aiming to raise £60,000 towards that. Not only is the committee working hard to create other fun events to raise money, but they are also planning how the park will fit with other amenities by Carlingwark loch. The team have designed a fundraising pack to help anyone in the community who wants to help raise funds too. The more the merrier! The pack contains tips and ideas for fundraisers, ticket and poster templates, and sponsorship forms!
