The Great Scottish Squirrel Survey
Details
In efforts to save Scotland’s red squirrels the Great Scottish Squirrel Survey is calling on people all over Scotland to get outdoors, explore nature and be on the lookout for both red and grey squirrels ![]()

Help Castle Douglas & District Red Squirrel Group by reporting all squirrels you see red and grey!
You can identify squirrels by:
Smaller, slender body
Chestnut coat (but can also include blonde, black or even grey!)
Tail fur: grey squirrels have a white fringe or ‘halo’ around their tails, reds do not!
