Castle Douglas Development Forum is looking to commission a Sustainability Strategy Advisor to develop a policy, route map and an action plan which will help us make a positive impact on our community and environment.
We want to commission a consultant with proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector and living in Dumfries and Galloway.
The consultant will undertake to:
• Develop a sustainability policy, in consultation and collaboration with staff, volunteers, board members, and the wider community that engages with CDDF through its range of services and projects.
• Foster a culture of sustainability.
• Draft an environmental education and outreach programme for March to December 2024 to educate our community about sustainability practices.
• Create a route map to guide CDDF on its just transition to carbon neutral and an associated action plan with an indicative budget for April 2024 to March 2025
This post is funded by the Dumfries and Galloway Community Led Local Development Fund.
